All is peaceful

A translation of the Sarva śāntā from the Taittirīya Aranyaka by TSYP member Michael Hutchinson.

The earth is peaceful.
With the fire, it is peaceful.
To me it is peaceful.
May suffering be at an end.

The space between earth and sky is peaceful.
With the wind, it is peaceful.
To me it is peaceful.
May suffering be at an end.

The earth is peace.
The space between earth and sky is peace.
The sky is peace.
The distant points are peace.
The nearer points are peace.

Fire and Wind are peace.
Sun, Moon and Stars are peace.
Water, Herbs and Forests are peace.
Cows, Sheep and Horses are peace.
People are peace.
Gods are peace.
Those who know God are peace.
Peace, indeed, is peace.

Peace unto me, let there be peace.
Thus I am with peace.
All is with peace to me.
Towards the two-footed,
Towards the four-footed also,
I make peace.
Peace unto me, let there be peace.
