When I first discovered yoga over 30 years ago, I knew that I had found something that could provide an anchor and guide in my life. In 2002, I started my teaching journey by enrolling on a BWY teacher training course. Then in 2007, I came across the teachings of TKV Desikachar and his father and a whole new world was revealed to me, as I studied with Gill Lloyd, Sarah Ryan and Liz Murtha. The challenges of 2020 have only served to reinforce my trust in the power of these practices and the importance of being part of a nourishing saṅgha. The time feels right for me to be giving something back to this tradition, so with my previous experience of working on the BWY London Committee and running the BWY London Yoga Festival, I agreed to take over the role of Head of Events. I am glad to join the ‘Team’, really look forward to continuing to provide inspiring events and raising the profile of TSYP and these teachings.
